Cookie Policy
Effective date: 11 October 2026
1. About this policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage that PassNaati, operated by Tatwam Ventures, uses on passnaati.com. Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser's local and session storage, which work in a similar way but are not sent to our servers with every request.
2. Our approach
- We use cookies and storage needed to run the Service, such as keeping you signed in. These are always on.
- Analytics are optional and off until you switch them on.
- We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not let advertisers track you on our site.
3. Necessary cookies
These are needed for sign-in, security and the features you ask for. The Service does not work properly without them.
__Secure-better-auth.session_token
Keeps you signed in.
Kept for: up to 7 days, renewed while you use the app
__Secure-better-auth.session_data
A short-lived copy of your session, so pages load without checking it every time.
Kept for: 5 minutes
Other __Secure-better-auth.* cookies
Protect the sign-in process, for example during Google sign-in.
Kept for: a few minutes
pn_marketing_consent
Carries your email choice from the sign-up form through Google sign-in. It records only whether you ticked the box.
Kept for: 15 minutes
__cf_bm
Set by Cloudflare on audio.passnaati.com only if it needs to check that audio requests come from a person, not a bot.
Kept for: 30 minutes
4. Browser storage
These stay in your browser and support features and error monitoring.
passnaati.analyticsConsent.v1
Remembers whether you allowed optional analytics.
Kept for: until you change it or clear your browser data
pn_cache_*
Copies of your recent app data, such as your dashboard, so pages load faster.
Kept for: used for 2 minutes to 24 hours depending on the data; stays in your browser until replaced or cleared
Study plan and onboarding keys
Keep an unsaved study plan draft and remember whether you have finished onboarding.
Kept for: until finished or cleared
passnaati-ecu-*, passnaati-wcu-dismissed-guide
Remember that you closed a prompt, so we do not show it again.
Kept for: until it expires or you clear your browser data
Sentry session (session storage)
Links error reports from one visit. For a small share of visits Sentry also records a replay of the page interaction, with all text masked and images and media blocked.
Kept for: until you close the tab
5. Optional analytics
These are set only if you switch them on. If you do not, Google Analytics does not load at all.
_ga, _ga_*
Google Analytics: counts visits and shows how pages are used. Set only after you allow optional analytics.
Kept for: up to 2 years
passnaati_funnel_consent
Records that you switched on sign-up journey measurement, our own first-party measurement of how people move from sign-up to practice.
Kept for: up to 30 days, then we ask again
6. Payments and emails
Payments happen on Stripe's own checkout pages, so any cookies there are set by Stripe under its privacy policy, not by us.
Some of our emails can record whether they were opened and which links were clicked, so we can tell if emails arrive and are useful. Blocking images in your email app stops open tracking.
7. Your choices
- Use the “Optional analytics” and “Optional journey measurement” controls at the bottom of every page to switch analytics on or off at any time.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. If you block necessary cookies you will not be able to stay signed in.
- Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on every site.
We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Instead, optional analytics stay off unless you switch them on.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies or storage we use change. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information more broadly.
